<description>Wondering if anyone has had swollen joints five months after an epidural steriod injection? In October of 2008 a pinched nerve in my neck needed 2 epidural steroid injections to calm down. In January of 2009, I believe my immune system was unhappy with me and sent elevated white blood count to my knees causing massive swelling.

In February my right knee needed to be asperated. The doctor pulled 45cc of yellowish fluid out, and then injected a shot of cortizone into the joint to reduce the inflammation. Instance success was felt and life seemed great.

It is now mid to late March and both knees are inflammed and uncomfortable. My body is not happy. Also, a note of concern, the onset of both knee issues was the start of my period.

Please let me know if anyone is experiencing the same thing? The foreign substance in my body, seems to be playing havoc on my system.
